As President and Chief Executive Office of JJB South, Pat is responsible for the overall direction and vision of the company, ensuring each employee is fueled by a strong attachment to the company’s core values and commitment to exceeding client expectations.

A 45-year veteran of the construction industry, Pat has worked on a variety of building projects and accumulated a multifaceted understanding of the industry. He brings a strong background to all projects in management systems, understanding of early project planning, pre-construction and design services, and successful construction delivery. He has exceptional managerial strengths including an aptitude for maintaining tight project controls, an ability for successfully building positive client and partner relationships, and adeptness in reviewing projects from both the perspective of the field construction workers and the client. Pat has distinguished the company’s project portfolio with a long list of successes, including national awards for project excellence.

In 2018, Pat was inducted into the Michigan Construction Hall of Fame at Ferris State University in recognition of his accomplishments and leadership and contributions to the Michigan construction industry.

Josh Barney is the Vice President and Director of Safety at J.J. Barney Construction. He is responsible for setting the overall direction for the company, overseeing the company's business operations, company safety, and legal matters.

Before joining the family business, Josh was an attorney for a large-sized Chicago based litigation firm. He graduated from DePaul University College of Law and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan.

Josh previously served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Construction Association of Michigan (CAM). He also serves on CAM's Labor Negotiations and Government Affairs committees and teaches construction courses at CAM. In 2020, Josh was selected as one of Oakland County's "Elite 40 Under 40," an annual list honoring passionate and talented leaders in a variety of fields that are committed to their professions and improving their communities.

In 2016 and 2017, he was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine, a peer-review publication that selects the top 2.5% of attorneys in the state based on excellence and peer recognition.

Josh frequently lectures at seminars for construction, legal, and business groups and has been published in numerous legal, business, and academic publications.

Paul Antonio is JJB South’s Chief Estimator. He is responsible for overseeing the estimating process and providing accurate cost estimates for all construction projects. He is a seasoned estimator with over 30 years of experience providing project estimation and preconstruction services for diversified clients in multiple facets of construction. His knowledge and expertise in civil construction pricing, purchasing, procurement, and installation is unmatched in southwestern Florida.

Paul is a flexible, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines. He is skilled at working under pressure and adapting to new situations and challenges to best enhance the company’s brand.

Paul has a degree in civil engineering from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada.

Clem Barney is JJB South’s General Manager. He is responsible for overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion. His keen attention to detail and strong organization skills ensure that all construction activities align with the established timeline and budget. He is an expert in delivering high-impact business strategies, operational improvements that promote and accommodate continued business growth, and world-class customer service.

A fourth-generation builder, Clem spent time in the family business at a young age and worked in the skilled trades while attending Michigan State University. After graduation, he traveled the country working on various construction projects. After a few years in the field, he went back to school and earned a master’s degree in construction management from Purdue University.
