Founded in 1927 by Joseph James (J.J.) Barney, J.J. Barney Construction is a fourth generation family owned and operated union construction company specializing in concrete placement, earthwork, and underground utilities. From heavy industrial to light commercial, our expertise in structural concrete, flatwork placement, and finish is second to none. Our highly skilled crews are capable of successfully completing the most challenging projects, from cold weather concrete to mass concrete. Our foremen and tradesmen work safely and efficiently to meet all quality and schedule requirements for each and every project. Our skilled carpenter crews’ and layout engineers’ vast knowledge of concrete forming systems supports our ability to handle any type of formwork requirement. J.J.
